Genealogy Collection of GeorgiaPioneers.com
I have traced thousands of families for other people. Although genealogy research is tedious and long-suffering, it is also enriching. The above volumes are available online to members of georgiapioneers.com.
Volume 1 includes traced families in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
Volume 2 includes families in Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Example: — There are thirty-six references in Volume 1 to the Castleberry families of Georgia with German lineage.
Families' origins were varied, and discovering the facts can be complicated. In the above instance, Castleberry was also known as Kasselberry in Germany. William Castleberry, born 1715/1720 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, fits the mold of German entrants into the port in Philadelphia. He received a land warrant of 100 acres on May 30, 1738. William, a member of the New Britain Church in Bucks County, moved to Virginia, where, in 1755, he first purchased 350 acres on Muddy in Augusta County, Virginia, but sold it two years later. While in Augusta County, However, he signed the “Church Covenant” of Linville Baptist Church on August 6, 1756. His children were removed to Wilkes and Richmond Counties, Georgia.
